Wired and Inspired

Seung Mo Park is a Korean born sculptor based out of New York whose work has been showcased world wide from major galleries to the runway.  His pieces are so incredibly dramatic and life-like it's no wonder they are coveted by so many.

One of Seung Mo's methods of intricately bending and twisting tightly wrapped layers of aluminum wire into these remarkable forms is impressive, to say the least.

In another method commonly used by the artist, wire mesh is meticulously cut to form life-like, giant portraits created from superimposing photographs onto layers of wire. The process is long and arduous but the results are simply stunning!!

Seung Mo has also collaborated with Lie Sang Bong, fellow Korean-born designer who has dressed the likes of Lady Gaga and Beyonce, for his SS2010 collection.  Lie's avant-garde aesthetic meshed effortlessly with the artist's unique style resulting in one beautiful collection.

Needless to say I'll be looking forward to a lot more from this artist!
